From a $5 Fiverr project to Thriving Agency with 8+ employees
My story isn’t about overnight success — it’s about years of fighting for every client, every dollar, and every small win.
I went from lying awake at night wondering how to make $100 a month, to running a thriving content creation & marketing agency with 8+ employees and clients across industries.
It took failures that broke me, wins that rebuilt me, and people who stood beside me when I had nothing but determination.
Every milestone — from my first $5 project to walking into my own 30-seat office — carries the weight of that journey.
Starting...
2017 – The Struggle Begins
In 2017, I decided to try freelancing. I had no mentor, no community, and no clear path — only the belief that if I could figure out the game, I could change my life. I didn’t have the money to buy courses to learn skills & freelancing (how to sell services)
For two long years, I didn’t land a single online client. I worked small local jobs for marketing and content teams, absorbing whatever I could about campaigns, design, and branding. But the money was unstable, and the dream felt far away.
Some nights, I’d lie awake thinking:
“If I could just make $100 a month, I could pay my education fees, buy groceries without worry, and keep the lights on.”
2019 – The First $5
Mid-2019, my first online order arrived via Fiverr.
I was a graphic designer creating social media ad creatives — design that could sell.
The payment? $5.
Small in value, massive in meaning. It proved my skills could earn internationally.
The Night That Changed My Belief
Two to three months later, I had the night I’ll never forget.
Multiple orders came in back-to-back. I worked until morning, and by sunrise, I had earned 8,000 BDT ($100+) in less than 24 hours.
For someone who had been dreaming of making $100 in a month, it was life-changing. I remember thinking:
“If I can do this in one night, there’s no limit.”
The Hard Reality
But Fiverr was unstable. Some months were good, others were empty. And at any moment, my account could be limited.
I realized I was building my future on someone else’s land.
So I made a decision that would define my career:
I would learn to bring clients directly to me.
Learning to Find Clients (And How Hard It Really Was)
This wasn’t a quick win.
I didn’t learn client acquisition in a few weeks.
I spent two years obsessively studying and testing cold email, cold outreach, and social media outreach.
My first direct client came after a year of trial and error — but even then, I struggled to retain clients.
I faced it all:
- Clients ghosting me after one project.
- Leads going cold after showing interest.
- Offers getting ignored.
Through this, I learned the deeper game:
- How to write cold emails that get replies.
- How to structure offers that clients want to accept.
- How to build relationships so clients stay for the long term.
It took years, but now I can confidently say:
I have mastered client hunting — and I teach others to do the same without wasting years like I did.
From Solo Freelancer to EngagingDot
Once I mastered client acquisition and retention, I launched EngagingDot — my Content Creation & Content Marketing Agency.
We focus on:
- High-quality, algorithm-friendly social media content.
- Carousels, motion graphics, and highly edited YouTube videos.
- Content that builds authority, drives engagement, and grows brands.
I started alone. Then I hired my first team member. Then another.
Every hire was an achievement — because each salary came from something I built from zero.
The first office chair I bought for myself felt like a milestone.
The first workstation for my team felt like progress.
By 2025, we had 8+ employees and moved into an office big enough for 30 people.
The man who once prayed to make $100/month now pays over $2,000/month in salaries and invests another $1,000–$2,000/month into growth.
Teaching & Industry Recognition
My journey eventually brought me opportunities to teach others what I had mastered.
I worked with OSTAD, one of Bangladesh’s leading e-learning platforms, where I taught:
- Client-Hunting Marketing (for students who had already learned digital marketing)
- Cold Email & Cold Outreach
- Social Media Outreach
- Cold Email Automation
- Lead Generation Strategies
My training was hands-on, showing students exactly how to land clients and build stable incomes.
The recognition didn’t stop there.
I received offers from:
- 10 Minute School – Bangladesh’s largest e-learning platform.
- Interactive Cares – a well-known education brand.
- Brac Learning – where I partnered to provide Freelancing training.
These opportunities proved that my skills weren’t just working for me — they could be taught, replicated, and scaled to help thousands.
Why I Do This
I know the pain of:
- Starting with no guidance.
- Waiting years for your first client.
- Losing clients because you didn’t know how to keep them.
- Relying on platforms that could vanish overnight.
That’s why my mission is to:
- Help Bangladeshi freelancers land clients without marketplaces.
- Provide tools, plugins, and systems that solve real problems.
- Teach the skills that let people go from $0 to full-time, and eventually, to running their own agencies.
I’m building resources in Bengali first, so my community gets the advantage I never had — then expanding globally.
